How TEKKEN 8 tournaments run on Fragnet

TEKKEN 8 events are 1v1 bracket play, usually first-to-two or first-to-three sets. There is no lobby to reveal: players are paired and one hosts the match. What the organizer actually has to manage is pairing, timing and no-shows.

Fragnet covers the registration, the approval queue, the waitlist and the entry pass — including on-site check-in by QR for offline locals. It does not run the bracket.

TEKKEN 8 formats you'll see

FT2 double elimination

The FGC standard: first-to-two sets, losers bracket, FT3 from the finals.

Round robin pools

Small pools feeding a top-8 bracket. Better for events under 16 entrants.

Character restrictions

Rare, but if an organizer runs a themed event it belongs in the rules.

Prizes in TEKKEN 8 events

Cash is the norm, sometimes platform gift cards. TEKKEN 8 has no widely used top-up currency for prizes. The organizer states the pool and pays it out directly — Fragnet never holds it.

Hosting a TEKKEN 8 tournament

  • State set lengths per round. FT2 through the bracket and FT3 in top 8 is conventional.
  • Set a connection standard for online events and a forfeit clock for both.
  • For offline locals, use the QR check-in scanner — it runs in a phone browser with no app for you or your entrants.
  • Link your bracket from the listing; Fragnet has no bracket generator.

TEKKEN 8 tournament FAQ

What set length do TEKKEN 8 tournaments use?
First-to-two through the bracket and first-to-three from the finals is the usual FGC convention. The organizer states theirs in the rules.
Can I use Fragnet for an offline local?
Yes — that is what the QR entry pass and browser-based check-in scanner are for. No app for you, and none for your entrants either.
Does Fragnet generate the bracket?
No. Fragnet handles registration, approvals, passes and check-in; run the bracket in your usual tool and link it from the listing.
