Run the event, not the spreadsheet

Publish once and get a filterable listing, an approval queue, QR passes, a browser check-in scanner and timed room reveal. Free to list. We take 0%.

What you get in about five minutes

  • A listing players can actually find, filtered by game, device, format, region, city, entry fee and skill tier.
  • An approval queue with bulk approve and decline, or instant join if you prefer first-come-first-served.
  • A waitlist that promotes the next player automatically when someone drops.
  • A signed QR entry pass for every confirmed player.
  • A check-in scanner that runs in any phone browser.
  • Room credentials that unlock on a timer for confirmed players only.
  • A public track record — events completed, ratings, reviews — that appears on every event you list.

How publishing works

1. Describe the event

Title, game, and a description that tells a player what they are entering. The publish check requires a description and rules on every event, and entry-fee notes on any event with a fee — not to be difficult, but because those three fields are where every dispute is either prevented or created.

2. Set the shape

Slots, format, device, and a skill tier. For online events, declare the server region — a player who cannot ping into your lobby will not be shown the event, which is better for both of you. For offline events, the venue address gets geocoded so players can open it in their maps app.

3. State your terms

Entry fee and prize pool in your own currency. Viewers see a conversion for orientation, with your original always beside it, because your figure is what they actually owe. Then write the two notes that matter: how you collect the fee, and how and when you pay the prize.

4. Set the reveal offset

How many minutes before start the room credentials unlock. Fifteen by default. Five for a tight mobile lobby, thirty for a PC event with a warmup.

5. Publish

The listing is live and filterable immediately, and requests start arriving in your queue.

Getting paid

You collect directly. Fragnet never touches an entry fee or a prize pool, has no wallet, and takes no percentage. What we give you is the place to state your terms clearly and a record that you have honoured them before.

The two sentences that prevent most disputesIn your entry-fee note: how to pay, by when, and what happens if the event is cancelled. In your payout note: the exact split, the method, the timeframe, and what happens on a tie. Ninety per cent of arguments are one of those five details going unstated.

Building a track record

Fragnet does not vet you, so players judge you on two things: what is in your listing, and what previous players said. New organizers carry a "New organizer" badge — a statement of fact, not a warning, and the only way past it is a completed event.

  1. 1.Make your first event small and free. A finished free event is worth more than a large advertised prize pool from someone with no history.
  2. 2.Write rules that answer a dispute you have not had yet.
  3. 3.Add a Discord or stream link so players can see you exist elsewhere.
  4. 4.Run it on time. Reliability is the whole product at this level.
  5. 5.Ask participants to review afterwards — the rating shows on every future card.

Is this right for you?

Use something else if…Your event is fundamentally a bracket and you want the platform to draw, seed and advance it. Or you want the platform to hold entry fees in escrow and pay winners out. Fragnet does neither, and no amount of the rest makes up for the one you need.

The common setup for bracket events is both: a bracket tool for the tree, Fragnet for the sign-ups, approvals, waitlist, passes, check-in and room credentials. The two barely overlap.

Running it every week

Clone last week’s event, change the date, publish. Everything else carries over. Weekly series die from admin fatigue rather than lack of players, and cloning is the single biggest reduction in that load.

Common questions

How much does it cost to host?
Nothing. Listing is free, there is no paid tier, and we take 0% of entry fees and prize money.
Does Fragnet collect entry fees for me?
No, and it never will. You collect directly from players and state your method in the listing. That is also why there is no commission.
Can Fragnet run my bracket?
No. There are no brackets, no results entry and no leaderboards. Most organizers run the bracket in a separate tool and link it from the listing.
How do players get the room ID?
You enter it once when you publish. It stays encrypted and unlocks automatically before start, for confirmed players only.
What if someone drops out an hour before?
The waitlist promotes the next player automatically and notifies them. You do not have to be watching.
Do I need an app to check people in?
No. The scanner is a page in your phone’s browser, and so is the player’s pass.
