What Fragnet does

Filterable listings, an approval queue, signed QR entry passes, a browser check-in scanner and timed room reveal — plus an honest list of what we haven’t built.

Discovery that filters

Every filter maps to something that decides whether you can actually enter an event: the game, the device, the format, the server region you can ping into, the city for offline events, the entry fee, the skill tier, and whether there are slots left. Filters, not a wall of posters.

Approvals instead of DMs

Slot requests land in one queue with real states — pending, approved, declined, waitlisted, withdrawn — and you can approve or decline in bulk. Set an event to instant join when you want first-come-first-served instead.

Entry passes that can’t be forged

Every confirmed player gets a cryptographically signed pass tied to one participation at one event. It will not validate at a different tournament, and a circulating screenshot goes stale.

Check-in from any phone

The scanner is a web page. Open a URL, point a camera at a pass, done — no app for you, no app for your volunteers, and no app for the player holding the pass.

Room credentials on a timer

Enter the room ID and password once when you publish. They stay encrypted until minutes before start, then unlock for confirmed players only.

The rest of it

  • Teams with captains, members and substitutes, so squad events register in one click.
  • A waitlist that promotes the next player automatically when a confirmed slot frees up.
  • Two-way reviews — organizers rate players, players rate organizers — driving a public track record.
  • Reporting for scams, fake listings, abuse, cheating and spam, read by a human.
  • Clone a past event, change the date, publish. Weekly ladders take a minute.
  • Participant export to CSV.
  • Prices in 41 currencies, converted for orientation, with the organizer’s original always shown beside it.
  • Server regions on online events, so a player who cannot ping into your lobby is not shown it.
  • Times rendered in the viewer’s own timezone, and notification emails rendered in each recipient’s.

What we haven’t built

Not a roadmap tease — a list, so you can decide whether Fragnet fits before you publish an event on it.

  • Brackets. Fragnet will not draw, seed or advance one.
  • Results entry and standings.
  • Leaderboards and skill-score progression across events.
  • Chat. Organizers link their own Discord.
  • Calendar export.
  • Push notifications — email and in-app only.
  • A native mobile app. Everything, including the scanner, runs in a mobile browser.
  • Payments, escrow and payouts, permanently and by design.

The usual combinationMost organizers who need a bracket run it in a bracket tool and use Fragnet for the listing, the approvals, the passes, the check-in and the room. The two jobs barely overlap.
