Open BGMI tournaments

How BGMI tournaments run on Fragnet

BGMI tournaments are custom-room events. An organizer with a room card creates the lobby, publishes the slot list, and admits registered squads by their in-game name and UID. Almost everything that goes wrong in an amateur BGMI event goes wrong in that last step — a room ID shared too early, a squad that never registered walking into a slot, or four players who cannot find the credentials at 21:00.

The organizer enters the room ID and password once when they publish. Both stay encrypted until a set number of minutes before start — 15 by default — and then unlock for confirmed players only. Nobody pastes a code into a channel half the lobby cannot read, and nobody joins a room they were never approved for.

BGMI formats you'll see

Squad battle royale

The standard: up to 25 squads of four across one or more matches, scored on placement plus kills. Most organizers run three to five matches, because a single match is mostly variance.

Solo and duo

Smaller lobbies, faster turnaround, and far easier to fill than a 25-squad bracket. A good starting format for a new organizer.

TDM 4v4

Team deathmatch in the warehouse map. Short, decisive, and the only BGMI format that behaves like a normal knockout bracket.

Prizes in BGMI events

BGMI events are usually paid in cash or in UC (Unknown Cash), topped up directly to the winner's player ID. Fragnet shows whatever the organizer stated and converts it into your currency for orientation, but never collects or holds it — a UC prize is a promise from the organizer to you. Check that the listing says how it will be delivered and by when, before you pay any entry fee.

Hosting a BGMI tournament

  • State the map, the match count and the points table in the rules field. Points arguments are the single most common cause of a disputed BGMI result.
  • Decide your emulator policy and write it down. "No emulators" is a rule; "play fair" is not.
  • Collect in-game names and UIDs at registration so you can verify who is in the lobby against who actually registered.
  • Fragnet has no results entry and no leaderboards, so plan where standings will live — most organizers link a public sheet from the listing.

BGMI tournament FAQ

When do I get the BGMI custom room ID and password?
They unlock automatically a set number of minutes before start — 15 by default, though the organizer can change it. Only confirmed players see them, and until the reveal window opens nobody but the organizer can read them.
Do I need a full squad to enter a BGMI tournament?
It depends on the format. Squad and duo events are registered by a team, so you need a roster. Solo events you enter alone. The format is on every listing and is a filter on Discover.
What happens if the lobby fills before I join?
If the event is full you can join the waitlist. When a confirmed player drops, the next person on the waitlist is promoted automatically and notified.
