Privacy policy

What we collect, why, and what is public. The short answer: less than most platforms, because we never process a payment or check an identity.

What we collect

  • An email address or phone number at signup, to confirm a contact channel reaches you and to send notifications.
  • Profile details you choose to add: display name, handle, avatar, bio, devices, skill tier, and your in-game IDs.
  • Activity on the platform: events you request, join or complete, teams you belong to, and reviews you write or receive.
  • For organizers: your brand name, description, logo, banner and links.
  • For offline events: the venue address the organizer enters, which is geocoded to coordinates so it can open in a maps app.
  • Basic analytics about page views, via Google Analytics.

We do not collect payment card details, bank details or identity documents, because we never process payments or verify identity.

What is public

In-game IDs are visible to organizers, and may be on your public profileThey exist so organizers can admit you to the right lobby, which means they must be shareable. Treat an in-game ID as public information: do not enter anything you would not want associated with your handle.

  • Public: your display name, handle, avatar, bio, devices, skill tier, participation record and reviews you leave.
  • Public for organizers: brand, description, links, events hosted, rating and reviews.
  • Public per event: everything in the listing, including the venue address for offline events.
  • Not public: your email address, your phone number, and room credentials before their reveal time.

Third parties

  • Google Analytics, for page-view analytics.
  • Vercel, which hosts the site, and our API host — both process requests on our behalf.
  • An exchange-rate service, for indicative currency conversion. No personal data is sent to it.
  • A geocoding service, for turning organizer-entered venue addresses into coordinates.
  • IGDB and RAWG, as sources of game artwork. No personal data is sent to them.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers.

Retention and deletion

Account data is kept while your account exists. You can delete your account at any time, which removes your profile and contact details.

Records tied to completed events — that a participation happened, and reviews written about it — may be retained, because deleting them would rewrite other people’s track records and remove the evidence other players relied on.

Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct, export, delete or restrict processing of your personal data, and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. Contact us and we will act on a request within the time your local law allows.
