About Fragnet
We list, host and help you discover esports events. We take 0%, we never hold your money, and we do not vet anyone. Here is exactly why.
Why we built this
Amateur esports runs on a stack nobody chose: a Discord announcement that scrolls away in an hour, an Instagram poster with the entry fee in the caption, a Google Form for sign-ups, a spreadsheet somebody forgets to update, and forty direct messages at 20:55 asking for the room ID.
None of that is anyone’s fault. It is what you use when there is no tool for the job. But it costs organizers their evening and it costs players events they would happily have entered, because a tournament that exists only inside one Discord server is invisible to everyone outside it.
So we built the boring parts. A listing people can filter. An approval queue instead of DMs. A waitlist that promotes itself. A pass that cannot be forged. A room ID that unlocks on a timer for confirmed players only. Organizers run the match; we run the admin.
Our mission
Get every amateur tournament out of the DMs and onto a page you can filter — and make the hour before a match stop being the hardest part of running one.
A player should be able to find a match starting tonight, in their game, on their device, within their budget, in under a minute. An organizer should be able to publish that match in five and keep every unit of currency they charge. Everything we build serves one of those two sentences.
Where this goes
One open index of amateur esports. Not a league, not a publisher, not a middleman on your prize money — an index.
If it works, an organizer running a 16-slot scrim from a bedroom gets the same shelf as one running a 128-slot LAN, because the filter does not care who you are, only what you are running. Reputation on that shelf is earned in public — events you actually finished, ratings players actually left — rather than granted by us.
What we deliberately don’t do
These are decisions, not a roadmap. The code enforces them.
We don’t touch the money
Fragnet never collects or holds entry fees or prize money. There is no payment model in our database and no wallet on your account. Amounts on a listing are the organizer’s own numbers, shown so you can compare and filter on them. Anything you pay is arranged directly with the organizer, at your own risk. That is also why we take 0% — there is nothing for us to take a cut of.
We don’t vet anyone
No identity checks, no KYC, no document uploads, no verification badge for organizers or players. At signup we confirm that an email address or phone number reaches someone. That proves a contact channel works. It proves nothing else. What we do show is what we observed — how many events an organizer has actually completed here — and what players wrote afterwards. Facts and opinions. Not our endorsement.
We don’t run your bracket
Fragnet has no brackets, no results entry, no leaderboards and no skill-score progression. We cover the part before the first match and the part between rounds: the listing, the approvals, the waitlist, the entry pass, the check-in and the room credentials. Score your event however you already score it. If a bracket is the thing you need most, use a bracket tool — we say so on the comparison pages too.
We don’t pretend to be the police
You can report a listing for a scam, a fake listing, abuse, cheating or spam, and a human will look at it. We can remove a listing and remove an account. We cannot get your money back, because we never had it. Read the listing, check the track record, check the reviews, and use your own judgment — the same way you would booking a pitch or joining a pickup team.
What we actually built
- Discovery that filters on the things that decide whether you can enter: game, device, format, server region, city, entry fee, skill tier and slots left.
- An approval queue with bulk approve and decline, plus optional instant join for first-come-first-served events.
- A waitlist that promotes the next player automatically when a confirmed slot frees up.
- Signed QR entry passes that cannot be forged and will not scan at a different event.
- A check-in scanner that runs in any phone browser — no app for you, no app for your players.
- Room credentials encrypted at rest that unlock on a timer, for confirmed players only.
- Teams with captains, members and substitutes, so squad events register in one click.
- Two-way reviews, an organizer track record, and a reporting flow a human reads.
- Prices in 41 currencies, converted for orientation, with the organizer’s original always shown next to it.
How we make money
We don’t, yet. There is no paid tier, no commission and no listing fee. We would rather say that plainly than imply a business model we have not built.
If that changes, the thing that will not change is the one this whole platform is shaped around: we will never take a percentage of an entry fee or a prize pool, because we will never be holding either.
Two ways in
Find a match starting tonight, or publish one and stop running the spreadsheet.
