Counter-Strike 2 events run on a server the organizer provides — a community server, a matchmaking-style service, or a private host. The connect details reach confirmed players the same way a room ID does everywhere else on Fragnet.
The organizer enters the room ID and password once when they publish. Both stay encrypted until a set number of minutes before start — 15 by default — and then unlock for confirmed players only. Nobody pastes a code into a channel half the lobby cannot read, and nobody joins a room they were never approved for.
CS2 formats you'll see
5v5 bomb defusal
The standard competitive format. MR12 is the current default; state yours anyway, because people still run MR15.
1v1 duels
Aim maps or single-site duels. Fast, no roster, easy to fill.
Best-of-one vs best-of-three
Bo1 fits a sixteen-team event into a night. Bo3 does not, unless you have all day — plan the hours before you announce the format.
Prizes in CS2 events
CS2 has no first-party top-up currency, so prizes are cash or in-game items. Item prizes are worth extra scrutiny: ask how and when the item will be transferred, and remember Fragnet has no marketplace, no inventory and no involvement in any trade. We list what the organizer said they are offering.
Hosting a CS2 tournament
- Name the server, the region and the tick/ruleset. Ping decides whether an event is playable at all.
- Publish the map pool and veto order.
- Set an anti-cheat expectation and say what evidence you will accept for an accusation.
- Agree a screenshot convention for scores — Fragnet stores none.

- How do I get the CS2 server connect details?
- They unlock on the event page shortly before start, for confirmed players only.
- Do CS2 tournaments here run brackets?
- Not on Fragnet — we have no bracket generator and no results entry. Organizers run the bracket in whatever tool they prefer and link it from the listing. Fragnet covers registration, approvals, passes, check-in and server credentials.
- Is there a rank requirement?
- Only if the organizer sets one. Each event declares a skill tier, and open events are common.
