Is Fragnet free?

Yes. Listing is free, joining is free, and we take 0% of entry fees and 0% of prize money. There is no paid tier.

Does Fragnet collect entry fees or pay out prizes?

No. Fragnet lists events — we don’t vet organizers or players, and we never collect or hold entry fees or prize money. Anything you pay is arranged directly with the organizer, at your own risk. Check their reviews and track record, and use your judgment.

Then why do fees and prizes show on the listing?

Because they are the organizer’s own numbers, and you should be able to filter and compare on them before committing an evening. They are display figures, not a transaction.

Why is the prize shown in two currencies?

We convert into yours so you can compare events across 41 currencies. You owe the organizer the amount in theirs, which is why the original is always on screen next to the conversion.

The organizer didn’t pay out. Can Fragnet get my money back?

No, because we never had it. You can leave a review and report the organizer, and we can remove the listing and the account. That is the entire extent of what we can do, and it is worth factoring in before you pay anyone.

Do you verify organizers?

No. No identity checks, no KYC, no document uploads and no verification badge. At signup we confirm that an email address or phone number reaches someone. That proves a contact channel works and nothing more.

Then how do I judge an organizer?

By what they have actually done. Their page shows how many events they have completed here, their average rating, and every review players left. A "New organizer" badge means exactly that: no completed events yet. Not a warning, but information.

Can I earn a verified badge?

No, and there will not be one — we would be guessing. Run events, get rated, and the track record does the work.

What can I report, and what happens?

Scams or non-payout, fake or misleading listings, abuse, cheating, and spam. A human reviews it. We can take down listings and accounts. We cannot recover money.

How do I join?

Find an event on Discover, request a slot solo or with your team, and the organizer approves or declines. Some events are set to instant join — first come, first served, until slots fill.

The event is full. Can I still get in?

Yes, via the waitlist. If a confirmed player drops, the next person is promoted automatically and notified.

Do I need a team?

Only for team formats — duo, squad, battle royale and 5v5. Solo and 1v1 events you enter alone. You can build a roster with a captain, members and substitutes under My teams.

What time does it start in my timezone?

Times render in your device’s timezone throughout, and every email we send is rendered in the recipient’s own zone with the zone named.

What is a QR entry pass?

A cryptographically signed pass issued once you are confirmed. It is tied to one participation at one event, so it cannot be forged and will not scan at a different tournament.

Someone screenshotted my pass — can they use it?

The pass carries a rotating identifier, so older copies stop validating once it rotates. Validation always happens on our server rather than in the scanner, so a faked screen cannot pass either.

Do I need an app for the pass?

No. It lives on a page in your browser.

When do I get the room ID and password?

They unlock a set number of minutes before start — 15 by default, though the organizer chooses. Only confirmed players see them. Until then they are encrypted and nobody but the organizer can read them.

I’m confirmed but I can’t see the room details.

Either the reveal window has not opened yet, or the organizer has not entered credentials for this event. If a countdown is showing, credentials exist and are waiting.

How do I host?

Create an organizer profile, then publish a listing with your game, format, slots, timing, fee and prize, and choose whether requests need approval. You get a filterable listing, an approval queue, QR passes, a scanner and timed room reveal.

Can I re-run last week’s event?

Clone it, change the date, publish. That is how weekly ladders are meant to run here.

Can I export my participant list?

Yes, as a CSV.

Do I need to install anything to scan people in?

No. The scanner is a page in your phone’s browser.

Does Fragnet run brackets or record results?

Not today. No brackets, no results entry, no leaderboards and no skill-score progression. We cover the listing, the approvals, the waitlist, the pass, the check-in and the room. Score your event however you already do.

Is there a mobile app?

No. Everything, including the check-in scanner, runs in a mobile browser.

Is there chat, calendar export, or push notifications?

No, no and no. Email and in-app notifications only.
