How PUBG tournaments run on Fragnet

PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS events on PC and console run as custom matches, which means the organizer needs custom-match access before they can host anything at all. That is the first thing to check on a listing: an organizer who has run PUBG events here before has demonstrably had it working.

The organizer enters the room ID and password once when they publish. Both stay encrypted until a set number of minutes before start — 15 by default — and then unlock for confirmed players only. Nobody pastes a code into a channel half the lobby cannot read, and nobody joins a room they were never approved for.

PUBG formats you'll see

Squad battle royale

Four-player squads scored on placement plus kills across several matches. The points table is the organizer's choice and should be in the rules.

Solo and duo

Easier lobbies to fill and much shorter nights. Good for weekly recurring events.

Cross-platform caveats

PC and console pools behave differently. Check which platform the listing targets — the device filter on Discover exists precisely for this.

Prizes in PUBG events

Cash is typical; some organizers offer G-Coin instead. Whatever is listed, it is the organizer's own figure and the organizer's own obligation. Fragnet shows it and converts it for comparison, and that is the extent of our involvement.

Hosting a PUBG tournament

  • Confirm your custom-match access well before you publish, not on the night.
  • Publish the points table and the match count with the listing.
  • Set a server region so players who cannot ping into your lobby are not shown the event.
  • Decide how you will collect results — there is no results entry here.

PUBG tournament FAQ

Do I need custom match access to host a PUBG tournament?
Yes, for PC and console custom matches. Fragnet handles registration, approvals, passes and credential reveal, but the lobby itself is created in-game by you.
How many matches should a PUBG event run?
Most organizers run three to five. A single match is dominated by variance, and a three-match final is still mostly noise — more matches make the standings mean more.
Can console and PC players enter the same event?
Only if the organizer says so. Each listing declares a device, and that is a hard filter on Discover.
